Merry Christmas!
Posted December 24, 2011
Merry Christmas everyone! I am taking the day off today to spend time with my family, but I thought I would share a picture with you of one of my favorite places all decked out for Christmas. When Ryan and I walked through Pike Place Market the other night before we ate dinner, I made Ryan take a picture. I couldn’t get over how quiet and almost peaceful it was, which is odd and quite opposite of what I predict our Christmas day to be like.
Our Christmas day will be busy and full of too much food that I probably shouldn’t be eating. Allow me to share with you our plans for the day. We’re going to start out with breakfast at my Dad’s. My little sister is making sausage, biscuits and gravy. I’m guessing that my pants will be a little tighter but still rather comfortable. Then its off to my Mom’s for lunch where will be having prime rib and cheesy mashed potatoes. At this point I predict that I will wish that I wore leggings instead of pants. Finally, we’ll end our day at Ryan’s grandma’s for some traditional Christmas turkey. At this point I will probably have asked Ryan to take me to change into something a little more comfortable, like a pillow case.
However, I also predict, that there will be plenty of smiles, that I will laugh a lot and that I will enjoy each and every minute of the day. Not only because the food will be wonderful but because I will be spending the entire day with my family. I hope each and every one of you also has a fantastic holiday. I hope it is filled with joy, laughter, family, friends and of course plenty of good food.
I will be back on Monday with what I think is the ultimate way to use up all of those leftover mashed potatoes. Well, that is if you have any leftover mashed potatoes, which , as you all know, can be rather difficult in my home.
Merry Christmas!
