I’m a big snacker. A big salty food snacker. That means that I won’t often reach for cookies instead I’ll reach for chips. Which frankly, isn’t much better for you. So when I find something that satisfies that salty craving and my hunger and is pretty good for me I’m all for it. These Garlic and Pepper Almonds are just that.
I generally like to snack on a handful of roasted almonds, but sometimes I want a little more flavor so I decided to mess with some seasonings to see what I could come up with. Taking a cue from The Flavor Bible (Don’t forget to leave a comment here for your chance to win a copy) I decided to toss freshly toasted almonds in a mixture of garlic powder and black pepper. It is the perfect, guilt free snack.
