Christmas Popcorn

Christmas Popcorn with white chocolate, cinnamon candies and sprinkles will be your new favorite holiday treat. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare and makes a perfect gift too!

We LOVE popcorn around our house. What about you? It is one of our favorite snacks and we just love it with salt and butter of course. Sometimes we like to fancy it up a bit with fried herb butter. Or make it spicy with Sweet n’ Spicy BBQ Popcorn. Other times, we like to sweeten up by making White Chocolate Churro Popcorn or add some peanut butter cups. For Halloween I made a spooky Halloween Popcorn Mix and now that it is the Christmas season, I’m adding this Christmas Popcorn to the mix.

It has these big clusters of popcorn, pretzels cinnamon candies and sprinkles all coated in sweet white chocolate. Can’t lie, it’s kind of amazing.

Hand holding cluster of white chocolate Christmas popcorn.

And super quick and easy to make. Let’s talk about what you’ll need to make it:

Ingredients you’ll need:

When I usually make my hot tamale popcorn snacks, it’s usually just the popcorn, butter and hot tamales. To make this Christmas Popcorn more of a sweet treat, it’s drizzled with melted white chocolate and tossed with sprinkles.

  • POPCORN: As you can see from the photo, I used purple popcorn because that’s what I usually have on hand. You can use any kernels you have on hand.
  • PRETZELS: To add a bit of salty crunch.
  • CINNAMON CANDIES:  I use red imperials that I found in the baking aisle. You can also use red hot candies if you can find them.
  • CHRISTMAS SPRINKLES:  Because sprinkles make everything better and more festive!
  • WHITE CHOCOLATE: This is going to hold everything together.

How to make Christmas Popcorn:

One of my favorite things about popcorn mixes, like this Christmas popcorn, is how easy they are to make. Follow along with these step by step photos and instructions to see just how quick it all comes together.

  • Step #1: Pop the popcorn. I like to use my air popper (affiliate link) and it takes just a few minutes. You can also pop it on the stove.
  • Step #2: In a large bowl combine popcorn, pretzels, cinnamon candies and sprinkles. Pour melted white chocolate over top.
  • Step #3: Spread mixture onto a large baking sheet. Sprinkle with more sprinkles and then allow to cool until hardened, about 10 minutes. Break into clusters and serve.

I seriously love each and every salty sweet bite.

Storage and leftovers:

This really is best eaten the day that it is made, however, it’ll last for a few days in a resealable plastic bag or air tight container.

If you want to give the gift of goodies this year and don’t have that much time to bake, this Christmas Popcorn is perfect. It’s super festive and everyone loves it.
