Hey there everyone! I decided to do something a little different today and put together a list of recipes that will help you celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Whether or not you think the 5th of May is Mexican Independence day (it’s not) or know that it celebrates the Mexican victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla (somewhere my Latin American History professor is jumping up and down because I remembered that), Cinco de Mayo is a good excuse to drink lots of Corona and enjoy a variety of Mexican dishes. Here are a few of my favorites.
For any Cinco de Mayo party, or any party for the matter, dips are huge crowd pleasers. This Hot Nacho Dip is no exception. Your guests will devour it, that is if you don’t first.
Or if you wanna fancy things up a bit why not make this appetizer with shrimp and avocados served in martini glasses?
And while we’re talking shrimp, I must say shrimp tacos are simply divine. Especially when they are topped with cilantro lime sour cream.
But if you’re like some of my friends and making a run for your local Taco Bell is the closest you’ve come to Mexican food in a while I suggest skipping the drive thru and try making your own Mexican Pizza.
Hungry yet? I know I am. I think I am going to head to the store, grab some Corona and make and eat each and every one of the recipes on this list today. What are your Cinco de Mayo plans?
