Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Ours was jam-packed but so fun. I mean I made pizza, rolls, lumpia, doughnuts (4 times, more about that later), cookies and spaghetti and meatballs. In other words we ate well. Very well. With great company to boot! Ryan’s brother, Jason and my sister-in-law, Monica came to visit. I showed Monica how to make lumpia and she helped me out of a jam with the doughnuts. And I think Kellan really enjoyed himself too because he keeps running around the house saying “hasin! hasin!” Family time = fun time.
- Speaking of Spaghetti and Meatballs, I made some for Sunday dinner. After going through my recipes one by one to reformat them for the redesign we’re working on I realized that some were in need of new pictures.What better way to start then with the very first post I ever posted here on Life’s Ambrosia? I also decided to make it because it is really, really good. If you haven’t tried them you definitely should. It is hands down one of my favorite meals of all time.
- So what did you think of the Mad Men season finale? I’m not going to type any spoilers in case some of you haven’t watched it just yet but I think it was probably one of my favorite episodes of the season. Although, I was pretty happy with just about every episode this season. The show is just so great. And is just us or do you all stop and listen when Don Draper is doing his spiel with the clients? Our living room goes silent and we just listen. He’s just a character on TV but he can certainly sell! That is why I find it so funny when Jon Hamm does voice overs for commercials, it’s like Don Draper is actually selling us something.
- Kellan is going through some kind of sleep regression right now. Has anyone else dealt with this that can offer some advice? I could use any tips that you might have. He was sleeping very well, then I went to Austin and since I have been back he has been waking up multiple times a night screaming. It’s no fun for anyone.
- Doughnuts though, doughnuts are fun. I actually made some this weekend. It was my first time making them and I will say it was quite the effort. I had to make the dough not once, not twice, not three but FOUR times. But my persistence paid off because in the end they turned out fabulous.
