6slicesbaconcut into 1 inch pieces
1sweet onionsliced
8ouncescream cheesesoftened
1/4cupmayonnaise
1teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
1/2cupfreshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat. Remove bacon to a paper towel lined plate to cool.
Reserve 1 tablespoon pan drippings. Cook onion in pan drippings over medium-low heat until brown and caramelized. About 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire, garlic, bacon and onions together in a bowl. Mix well.
Spoon dip into an ovenproof dish. Top with Parmesan cheese. Bake in preheated oven for 10 - 15 minutes or until edges are bubbly. Turn on the broiler and broil for about 2 minutes or until cheese is browned.
Serve hot dip with toasted baguette slices or crackers.
Notes
This dip can be made a day or two in advance up to the point of baking. Simply place it in the baking dish, cover and refrigerate until ready to bake. Allow it to come to room temperature before baking or it might take a bit longer to bake. Nutrition information for estimation purposes only.
