Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup full flavor molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat together butter, brown sugar, molasses and egg together. 
  • Add in the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt. Beat until well combined. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour.
  • Use a cookie scoop to make tablespoonfuls of dough. Roll dough balls in granulated sugar. 
  • Place on parchment paper on a baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 8 - 10 minutes.
