Chocolate Caramel Dip

If you love caramel apples, you're going to love this Chocolate Caramel Dip. It's all the deliciousness of caramel apples but so much easier to eat!

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 30 caramel candies wrappers removed
  • 1/4 cup half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts optional

Instructions

  • In a microwave safe bowl combine caramels and half and half. Cook in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until caramel has melted.
  • Stir in vanilla extract and ground cinnamon.
  • In another small microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  • Pour melted caramel mixture into a bowl. Stir in chocolate. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

This dip is best served when it is warm but cools off rather quickly. If it does become too hard, you can pop it in the microwave for 30-45 seconds to soften it up a bit.
