Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 6 oz crab meat
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 jalapeno seeded and diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Use hand mixer to whip cream cheese until smooth.
  • Gently fold in remaining ingredients. Cover and chill for at least one hour.
  • Serve with crackers, raw vegetables, or toasted bread.

Notes

You can also use imitation crab or canned crab. If you use canned crab it is essential that you allow it to drain completely or the dip will be too wet.
If you want to cut back on the heat make sure you remove all of the seeds from the jalapeños.
While this dip is best after it has chilled, it is best to eat it within in a day or two because of the crab.
