Easy Cheese Ball

An Easy Cheese Ball Recipe is a must for party planning! This classic version is made with cream cheese, sharp cheddar, green onions and pecans.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar shredded
  • 1/2 cup green onions diced
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • salt
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Whip softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Fold in shredded cheddar, green onions, worcestershire, granulated garlic and pepper. Mix well. Season to taste with salt. Chill for 30 minutes to firm up to make it easier to handle.
  • Form into a ball and roll in chopped pecans to coat. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.
  • When ready to serve, remove from the refrigerator 15 - 20 minutes so it is eaasier to spread.

Notes

This can be made a few days in advance, just make sure to remove it 15 - 20 minutes before serving so it is easier to cut and spread. 
Keeping the cheese ball wrapped in plastic and then placed in a bowl will help it keep it's shape while chilling.
