Chicken Gravy

Chicken Gravy made easy! No pan drippings needed. Perfect for drizzling over roast chicken and mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  • Heat butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in flour and allow to cook for 1 minute.
  • Slowly whisk in chicken broth. Add in chicken bouillon cube, granulated garlic, onionm powder, parsley and thyme.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until thickened. About 20 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Notes

The gravy will seem thin when you first add the broth as it simmers, it will thicken.
