Pizza Dough Pretzel Bites are homemade pretzel bites made easy! Serve these bites with tangy mustard sauce at your next party!

Have you ever thought about making your own pretzel bites but then shied away because it seemed like too much work. ME TOO. But that is what I am here to help you with today, because these Pizza Dough Pretzel Bites are a cinch to make.

Not only that but they are a hit! I made these Pretzel Bites twice in as many days and each time it was a struggle to keep them around long enough to take a photo. My kiddos (and husband too!) were obsessed. But I get it, they are that good. Chewy on the outside with a crunchy exterior. And that dip? Seriously, these bites are going to be on every party menu for the forceable future.

Pizza Dough Pretzel Bites Ingredients:

The Pizza Dough Pretzel Bites are the main part of this recipe but I’ve also included the ingredients and instructions to make a tangy mustard dip. To make the pretzels you’ll need:

  • PIZZA DOUGH: For this recipe, you’ll want to use pizza dough, not to be confused with pizza crust. Pizza dough you will be able to roll out and cut into pretzel bites. You can use store bought or make your own Homemade Pizza Dough.
  • BAKING SODA: This will help the pretzels develop their chewy texture.
  • EGGS: Brushing the boiled pretzel bites with egg will help them develop a golden brown color.
  • FLAKY SALT: Using a flaky sea salt or coarse Kosher salt will add not only flavor but texture to the pretzel bites.

For the Tangy Mustard Dip you’ll need:

  • MAYONNAISE: Will add creaminess to the dip.
  • STONE GROUND MUSTARD: A bit spicier and grainer than yellow mustard.
  • HONEY: Will add a touch of sweetness to the dip.
  • WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE: Adds umami flavor.
  • GRANULATED GARLIC: You can also use garlic powder or garlic salt. If you use garlic salt, don’t add anymore salt until you’ve tasted the dip.
  • SALT

Step by Step Photos and Instructions:

Making homemade pretzel bites with pizza dough is so easy. You’ll wonder why you’ve never done it before! Follow along with these step by step photos and instructions.

  • STEP #1: On a lightly floured surface, divide the dough into 4 balls. Then roll into 4 long ropes. Cut into 1 inch pieces.
  • STEP #2: Bring 12 cups of water to a boil. Add baking soda. (It is important to do this in a large pot so that it doesn’t boil over)
  • STEP #3: Working in batches, drop pretzel dough bites into boiling water. Boil for 10 – 15 seconds. Use a slotted spoon to remove them to a paper towel lined plate. Repeat until all pretzels have been boiled.
  • STEP #4: Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Place boiled pretzel bites on prepared baking sheets and brush with egg wash. Sprinkle with salt. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 – 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • STEP #5: While pretzels are baking, make the dip by whisking all ingredients together.
  • STEP #6: Serve pretzel bites warm with dip.

Storage and Leftovers:

Store any leftovers in a covered container at room temperature. They may start to become harder over time so try to eat within a few days. A quick pop in the microwave will soften the pretzels a bit too.
