With the holidays coming, and all of the parties that are sure to happen, I am always on the look out for appetizers and party food. And when the nice folks at Pillsbury asked for one more recipe using their crescent rolls, I knew I had the perfect base to do something that is sure to be a hit this holiday season.

At parties, dip is always a winner. And so are deviled eggs. A veggie platter. And anything and everything cheesy.

That is exactly where these rolls come in to play. They are kind of like a play on a jalapeno poppers. With all of the spicy, cheesiness rolled up into a perfectly flakey crescent roll.

And the coolest part is that they are so incredibly easy to make that you can get them on your table in no time so you can enjoy your party too.

Here’s how you do it.

Combine all ingredients, except crescent rolls in a bowl. Mix well.

Unroll crescent rolls and separate into 8 rolls. Working with the large part of the dough closest to you, place a heaping tablespoon of cheese mixture on the larger part of the dough and roll up. Continue with remaining ingredients.

Place the rolls with the large side down on a baking sheet. Do it this way so that the cheese won’t ooze out. Bake in preheated oven for 12 – 15 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.

Deeli, I’m so sorry! I could’ve sworn that I responded to your comment! Apparently it got lost, I’d use a medium jalapeno :)

Des, I see you replied to someone a day ago so perhaps you simply missed my question from 5 days ago?? Asking again if your recipe calls for a small. medium or large jalapeno since that does make a huge difference in flavor … I would prefer to know what size you use on my first try of the recipe so as to be a happy camper with the results ;-)
