A Dirty Shirley Cocktail is a Shirley Temple for adults! This sweet, refreshing cocktail is made with cherry vodka, grenadine and lemon-lime soda.

We had some friends over for a visit a few weeks back and what better way to celebrate than making a few cocktails?

One of our friends introduced us to this one and guys, I loved it! And if you loved to drink Shirley Temple drinks as a kid, you too, will love this grown-up version. This sweet cocktail whips up in a flash, is full of nostalgia and its refreshing too.

Like most cocktails, it doesn’t take many ingredients to make it either.

Let’s talk about what you’ll need to make it.

Dirty Shirley Cocktail Ingredients:

CHERRY VODKA: Some Dirty Shirley Cocktail recipes you find online will be made with plain vodka. This recipe, however, bumps up the cherry flavor by using cherry vodka.

LEMON-LIME SODA: Use your favorite lemon-lime soda. We used Sprite.

GRENADINE: Grenadine is classic in Shirley Temples, it is what gives the drink its cherry flavor and red color.

MARASCHINO CHERRY: These bright red cherries are a must! They add a bit of fun flare to the drink. For the best garnish, make sure you find cherries with the stems attached.
