Sweet, chewy and loaded with sprinkles these Funfetti Cookies are a treat for the whole family! Funfetti morsels are added for even more fun!

You guys, if you are in search of an ultra fun cookie recipe that the entire family will love, you have got to try these Funfetti Cookies. My kiddos and husband went nuts for them. And it’s not hard to see why.

They are loaded with sprinkles AND funfetti morsels. They are light, sweet and chewy. Really, there is no reason not to love these cookies.

What ingredients do you need?

Like most cookie recipes, you’ll need the basics: all purpose flour, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, baking soda and salt. But this Funfetti Cookie Recipe has a few extra ingredients that make them special.

  • SPRINKLES: Rainbow jimmies add the burst of color that gives them the classic Funfetti feel.
  • Funfetti Morsels: I found these delicious little gems next to the chocolate chips in the baking aisle. They are vanilla cake flavored chips with sprinkles in them. They are fab added to all kinds of baked goods, and heck, even just to snack on out of the bag.
  • CORNSTARCH: The added cornstarch in this recipe is what makes these cookies extra chewy. It works by binding up the liquids in the cookies.

How do you make Funfetti Cookies?

Unlike other funfetti cookie recipes, this recipe doesn’t call for cake mix. It’s made from scratch, but don’t let that intimidate you. They are easy to make!

  • STEP #1: Using a handheld mixer, cream together butter and sugar until they are light and fluffy. This will take about 3 minutes.
  • STEP #2: Add in the eggs and vanilla. Beat until combined.
  • STEP #3: Add in flour, baking soda, salt and cornstarch. Beat until dough forms.
  • STEP #4: Fold in funfetti morsels and sprinkles. Mix just until combined.
  • STEP #5: Place tablespoon full of rounded cookie dough on a baking sheet. Top with a few more sprinkles. Bake in 375 degree oven for 10 minutes or until edges start to brown. Remove and allow to cool completely before eating.

STORING LEFTOVER COOKIES:

Store any leftover cookies in an air tight container. They’ll keep soft and chewy for a few days.
